The Mini Model Shoot Day - 26th April 2024
Did you know that the biggest thing you can do to increase your sales is to add model shots to your sales pages? In many cases by as much as 80% in terms of conversions!!! A shoot featuring your products being worn or used by models really helps engage your audience, enable them visualise your beautiful products in their homes and lives, and really brings your brand to life! Plus, where your items are designed to be worn, there is no better way to show your product’s size and scale!
And there is nothing more impactful for your brand than having a completely bespoke model shoot for your brand. Choosing the model, the venue and planning every detail like the hair, makeup and clothing is so fun and allows you to completely tailor the shoot to tell your brand story.
But this kind of bespoke shoot can be pricey (my bespoke model shoots start from £850 and more typically cost in the region of £1200 per shoot). Your business carries the full cost of the model and make up artists fees, tailoring the wardrobe and the venue etc. And these shoots tend to be longer at a half or full day to give us the time to really capture all the imagery you want.
But sometimes your business just isn’t at the stage of being able to have a fully bespoke shoot. And you just want some gorgeous imagery of your products being worn for your sales pages that don’t feature your own makers hands (which let’s face it take a battering sometimes)!
That's why I love offering mini model shoot days. It's where a small group of brands share a model and split the hair and makeup artist and venue fees to get shorter, 1 or 2 hour model shoots. The brands either use my small, neutral capsule wardrobe for clothing or they can send clothing that they have selected for the model to wear that fits with their brand. And I take care of getting gorgeous and well lit imagery of your beautiful products being worn or used by a model in a stunning venue.
And we still work closely together prior to the shoot to plan the shot list and the all important details such as the clothing, backdrops, hair and makeup.
This kind of shoot isn't for every brand, particularly if you have a very fixed vision of the model shoot of your dreams and want complete control over every aspect. But it's a great way for a growing brand to get some beautiful model imagery to help clinch those sales whilst you build your brand.
Investment
So what’s the investment in the Mini Model Shoot?
Well it all depends on how many items you want shot. The options are below:
A 1 hour Mini Model Shoot is £400 and includes 10 inclusive images. We can shoot 7-10 items (2-3 images per item to choose from) plus a group or banner shot in this time
A 2 hour Mini Model Shoot is £500 and includes 20 inclusive images. We can shoot 15-20 items (2-3 images per item to choose from in this time plus a couple of group or banner shots)
You also get a bonus short BTS or product video for your socials.
So what are all the important details
What is included:
Either a 1 or 2 hour shoot with your products being worn or being used with a model depending on which option you book
The model's fee
The Hair and Makeup Artist fee
The venue fees
A pre-shoot consultation to establish the shot list, the look and feel and agree the clothing, hair and makeup
Use of my neutral capsule wardrobe (white and black shirt, black top, cream camisole, cream blazer), OR, you can send clothing that fits with your branding for us to use
A gallery to choose your favourite images from for a final dust and polish
Either 10 or 20 retouched images, with the option of purchasing more from your private viewing gallery
A short video (no sound) for use in instagram stories or reels - aspect ratio to be agreed at styling consultation
Return postage of your items (plus any props or clothing sent)
What is NOT included:
A fully bespoke wardrobe and multiple outfit changes - you are welcome to send clothing for the model to use that fits with your brand but the procurement of specific items of clothing by me is not included. Due to the time involved we won't have the time for multiple outfit changes during mini model shoots
A very stylised look and feel - a bespoke shoot would be a better option if you want a very stylised or specific look and feel for your shoot as the model, hair and makeup need to work for all the brands taking part
Choice of model - I select a model that will work across all the brands for the shoot so if you have a very clear vision of the model you want for your brand a bespoke shoot would be a better fit
Lots of group and banner shots - most of the shots will be of items shot individually for your product listings. We always capture a couple of group shots but due to time constraints in a mini shoot, a longer shoot is better if you want lots of imagery with your jewellery worn together
